Bullying

 Bullying

The definition of bullying as stated on stopbullying.gov is unwanted, aggressive behavior among school aged children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time. The website goes on to state “bullying can threaten students’ physical and emotional safety at school and can negatively impact their ability to learn.”

It is recommended to build bullying prevention material into the curriculum and school activities. Train teachers and staff on the school’s rules and policies. Give teachers, staff and students the skills to intervene consistently and appropriately.

The resources found here can help you provide this awareness and training in your school.
